In an effort to create a welcoming and unique space, dedicated to books, conversation, and community, LaNika Barnes a local high school science teacher and avid reader, opened Fire & Ice Bookshop in July 2021. This lit online indie bookshop's selection of books, products and events will always reflect the richness of humankind and support the voices of those most often left out of mainstream lit spaces. Understanding that people have varying levels of interests, expertise, and time for reading, Fire & Ice Bookshop is committed to one-on-one customer service and personalized reading experiences, through conversations and stories.

Together, LaNika and the family at Fire & Ice Bookshop, seek to connect our F&I community members with book selections, monthly book bundle subscriptions, and exclusive lit products to fit their various tastes, life-styles, and reading relationships.
